Karl Borden, a security professional with over three decades of experience, has been promoted to executive vice president for operations and growth at System High.
The global protection and security engineering services provider said Tuesday Borden will spearhead its day-to-day operations while developing and implementing growth strategies to drive System High’s organizational performance and expansion.
The security leader will leverage his proven track record in technical and leadership experience to lead the company’s operations and handle its diverse workforce. The executive also brings an understanding of contractual oversight, business continuity planning and practice, program management, insider threat mitigation, crisis action contingency planning and multiple security disciplines.
Karl Borden’s Professional Journey
Borden has been with System High for almost a decade, holding positions of increasing responsibility. He was most recently the VP for science and technology protection for nearly four years. Borden also served as director of legacy and emerging programs, director of security and infrastructure and program manager of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency contract. The executive also held the position of director of security at Sierra Nevada Corporation.
Before joining the private sector, Borden worked at the Pentagon as director of the Army Special Programs Directorate for the Department of the Army. He held various security leadership positions for the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Department of the Navy and NASA’s Office of Security and Program Protection.
Between his stints with the Pentagon and the Navy, Borden worked at ManTech International as the deputy program manager of mission, cyber and technology solutions.
