A General Dynamics subsidiary has won a potential six-year, $654.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy for shipyard availabilities and related maintenance support services for the military branch’s aircraft carriers.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday Naval Sea Systems Command launched a competitive procurement process for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through the System for Award Management website.
In March 2019, the Navy awarded General Dynamics NASSCO a $465 million contract for shipyard availabilities. Contract work includes maintenance, repair and modernization of the service’s aircraft carriers.
IDIQ Contract Scope
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a five-year base term and a one-year option period.
General Dynamics NASSCO will perform work in Bremerton, Washington, through October 2030.
NAVSEA will obligate funds upon issuance of individual orders.
