The Defense Logistics Agency has named AmerisourceBergen Drug, DMS Pharmaceutical Group and Cardinal Health Inc. as recipients of firm-fixed-price contracts valued at up to $5.64 billion for pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical-related products. According to DOD, AmerisourceBergen will receive $5.64 billion for the requirements. Meanwhile, DMS and Cardinal Health each secured $277.7 million and $16.5 million, respectively.

Work will be performed inside and outside the continental United States until March 2027.

The contracts were awarded following a competitive acquisition process. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serves as the contracting activity.

AmerisourceBergen Secures $6B DLA Contract

The new deal is not AmerisourceBergen’s first multi-billion dollar contract from the DLA. In July 2022, the Conshohocken, Pennsylvania-headquartered pharmaceutical distributor won a $6.06 billion deal to serve as the national prime vendor of DOD’s Tricare Pharmacy Program and support the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Global War Readiness Materiel program.
