Textron Systems Secure Potential $100M Navy Contract for MCM USV Services


Textron Systems has secured a potential $100 million contract from the U.S. Navy for the procurement of support services for the Mine Countermeasure Unmanned Surface Vehicle.

The Department of Defense said Friday the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract covers software development, payload integration and sustainment support for the MCM USV.

The initial contract is valued at $30 million and runs through December 2025. If all option periods are exercised, the cumulative value reaches $100  million, while the period of performance is extended until December 2027.

The company will perform 60 percent of the work at its Hunt Valley, Maryland facility. The remaining work will be done in Panama City, Florida and Arlington, Virginia.

The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. will allocate $4.7 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award. The initial fund will remain available at the end of the fiscal year.
