Michele St. Mary has been selected as the new chief legal officer and general counsel at Amentum, effective immediately.
The advanced engineering and innovative technology services provider said Monday that St. Mary would oversee its legal, ethics, compliance, contracts and security functions worldwide. She will be responsible for corporate legal matters, including governance, transactions, securities, contracts, litigation, labor and employment, compliance, export control and international law.

Before joining Amentum, St. Mary worked at L3Harris Technologies for over five years, most recently serving as vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary. She was with Harris Corp. for 15 years until its merger with L3 Technologies in 2019.
St. Mary served as VP and associate general counsel for different business segments at Harris Corp., including government operations, critical networks segment, integration, integrated network solutions segment and legal and contracts for IT services. She joined Harris in 2005 as the division counsel for Harris IT services.
The Amentum executive also served as senior counsel for Sun Microsystems and an associate at Crowell & Moring.
